Mythology
The Horned Figure
Cernunnos is the modern conventional name given to a horned or antlered deity represented in ancient Celtic religious imagery.
Unlike many figures in Celtic Clash, Cernunnos is not a character from the medieval Irish mythological cycles. Evidence for him comes primarily from ancient inscriptions and imagery from continental Europe.
He is often depicted with antlers and associated imagery including animals and torcs. His exact role and meaning in ancient Celtic religion remain uncertain.

A Figure from the Wider Celtic World
Ancient Continental Celtic Tradition
Cernunnos does not have a responsible single Irish location that can be presented as his home. The strongest archaeological evidence associated with the name and horned imagery comes from continental Europe.
Including this distinction is important: Celtic Clash draws from the wider Celtic world as well as specifically Irish mythology.
